Join us in Chalk near Gravesend for our Basic Bid Writing Course aimed at those working in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in Kent and Medway who are new to writing grant applications to trusts and foundations.
The course will cover:
- What is a grant-making Trust
- Why applications fail
- Dos and don’ts of bid writing
- Researching potential funders
- Taking a strategic approach
- Writing styles for funding applications

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
Yes, as long as it is transferred to another person working or volunteering in your organisation. We kindly ask you inform us via email@example.com of the name and job title of who will be attending if it differs from the name on the ticket.
What if I can no longer attend?
If you, or another person from your organisation are no longer able to attend the workshop we kindly ask you inform us via firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible so we can offer your place to those on the waiting list.
If you do not cancel or transfer your place 48 hours before the event you will be invoiced £10 to cover catering and administration costs.
