Tailored to Kent & Medway organisations and groups, our virtual conference, First Steps to Fundraising, provides an opportunity to meet key funders and explore different fundraising themes and skills that will help increase your chance of fundraising success!
Our virtual conferences are aimed at those who are new to funding and fundraising, and for the next in our series, also those of you who are planning an event to bring your community together.
Whether you’re planning a festival, community celebration or regular event which engages your community, this conference is for you.
We will cover:
- the key steps that voluntary sector groups need to be ready to apply for funding
- sources of funding for community events
- how to bring in funding from a challenge/sponsorship event
- embedding equality, diversity and inclusivity into your projects
- how to write a risk assessment for a community event
This conference will also offer the opportunity to:
- introduce yourselves to our guest funder, Kent Community Foundation, and learn more about the funding they offer
