The Movement for Good Awards is an annual platform for giving, set up by all the businesses that make up the Benefact Group. During 2024, they are donating more than £1 million to registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and community interest companies that are making good things happen in their communities.

Anyone can nominate the organisation they support to be awarded £1,000 – it’s one nomination per charity, per person. The more nominations a charity receives, the greater their chance of winning. Winners are chosen at random.

There are six £1,000 draws throughout the year – see funder’s website for draw dates.

Special draws

There will be five special draws throughout 2024 in which ten awards of £5,000 will be made in each draw to good causes within a chosen category. Dates and categories are:

• 19-23 February: Animals
• 22-26 April: Health
• 17-21 June: Youth
• 12-16 August: Environment
• 21-25 October: Arts & Culture
