The Chaucer Foundation was established in 2013 and is the charitable foundation of Chaucer Syndicates, a leading Lloyd’s insurer and reinsurer. Chaucer has always believed that with success comes responsibility, prior to the Foundation being formed they have taken part in a range of activities to help local communities including the Million Makers project and encouraging all employees to donate two workdays a year to their charity of choice.
The Foundation help make a real difference in their communities and to inspire greater volunteer contribution in improving disadvantaged lives. Their objectives are:
- To support charitable and social projects in their communities, with emphasis on those projects that help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds achieve their full potential.
- To work with Chaucer’s charity partners to provide fundraising and volunteering support.
- To support employees in their personal charitable endeavors
- To provide opportunities for Chaucer employees to volunteer
Organisations may apply for grants at any time. Applications for foundation funding will be reviewed and approved on a quarterly basis by The Chaucer Foundation Board.
