Esmée Fairbairn Foundation: Social Investment
LoansEsmée Fairbairn Foundation’s Social Investment provides social investment of between £60,000 and around £300,000 (no set maximum) to charities, social enterprises and community benefit societies that aim to achieve a high social impact as well as a financial return and be a good fit with the Foundation’s funding priorities.
Both revenue and capital projects with social investment. Could include:
- Purchasing/refurbishing assets
- Working capital (e.g. to support payment by results contract)
- Bridging finance (e.g. confirmed grant)
- Expand existing activities/ deliver new services
Loans are unsecured and although have flexible terms interest rates average at 5-7% with repayment over 5-7 years.
