Health & Social CareThe Forbes Charitable Foundation distributes funds to help adults with a learning disability or to charities and other organisations supporting them.
To Foundation’s policy is to make grants to UK registered or exempt charities which provide services principally to adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Projects or services of an innovative nature will be of particular interest to the Trustees.

- Day Services
- Social Enterprises
- Employment Initiatives
- Skills Training
- Support for Informal Carers
- Transition Services for young adults
Applications must be submitted prior to early November when a sub committee of Trustees will review applications. A full meeting of Trustees then decides in December which of these they consider suitable for support and may then ask for additional supporting information to be submitted prior to 31 March. At their meeting in April, subject to any further due diligence the Trustees may require, the successful applicants for the coming year will be chosen.
Please note that the Trustees have already identified the charities to be supported through to March 2019
