Sea-Changers: Coastal Fountain Fund

The Sea-Changers’ Coastal Fountain Fund is awarding community organisation up to £2,000 to install water fountain bottle filling stations at or near UK beaches/marinas/seaside locations. The grant available is per water fountain and you may apply for multiple fountains within your application.

The projects funded will achieve the following objective:

To prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and species by reducing marine litter, through the provision of well located coastal water fountains that will significantly reduce the use of non-reusable plastic drinks bottles.

Applications must demonstrate:

  • that there is a need for the fountains(s) in their area and what the impact will be;
  • that the fountain(s) will be operational within 2020;
  • that the fountain(s) will be sustainable for at least two years; and
  • that the fountains(s) are value for money.
