The Clara E Burgess Charity makes grants to registered charities where children are the principal beneficiaries of the work. Grants are towards the provision of facilities and assistance to enhance the education, health and physical well-being of such children, in order that their conditions of life may be improved, but having particular regard to children under the age of 10 and whose who have lost either one or both parents.’ Within these boundaries grants can be made to the following causes: education/training; overseas projects; disability; social welfare; hospitals/hospices; medical causes, health and medical research.
Grants are typically under £10,000. Applications can be submitted at anytime.
