The Dunhill Medical Trust: Project Grants for Community-based Organisations
Health & Social CareThe Dunhill Medical Trust offer grants of between £5,000 – £40,000 grants to time-limited projects (maximum 36 months) which focus on the development of care and support services for older people which are innovative and/or based on evidence of best practice and which can become self-sustaining within a planned period. Priority will be given to services which are focused on older people, enhance existing mainstream services and which are not currently funded by statutory organisations elsewhere in the UK. The Trust will expect the beneficiary organisation to have a robust plan to create the ongoing revenue to maintain the service as the charitable funding diminishes and to have processes in place to ensure minimum disruption to the beneficiaries in implementing these plans.
The Trust does not currently make contributions to the ongoing core costs (general running costs) of an organisation but will make a reasonable contribution towards salary costs for staff to carry out the proposed work detailed in the project for which funds are being requested. The request for a staff salary contribution must represent good value for money for the organisation.
Forthcoming deadlines are:
2019/20 Round Two: 25 March 2019 (opens) – 17 May 2019, 5pm (closes)
2019/20 Round Three: 1 July 2019 (opens) – 30 August 2018, 5pm (closes)
