Fund: The Philip and Connie Phillips Foundation

Organisation: The Philip and Connie Phillips Foundation
Up to: £10000
Deadline: Currently closed

The Philip and Connie Phillips Foundation awards grants in the region of £5,000 to £10,000, over one or two years, to charities registered and operating within Kent and Medway (annual income between £10,000 and £1 million).

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their impact on the health and wellbeing of their local community. The Foundation has the following priority areas:

  • Elderly and Isolated
Supporting charities working with people who are elderly and isolated, particularly in rural areas. This may include activities to help improve people’s lives, or meal services, befriending, advice or other support.

  • Homelessness
Supporting charities who help people who are homeless, lack stable accommodation or are in insecure or vulnerable housing.

  • Combatting the effects of deprivation
Supporting charities who are combatting the effects of deprivation such as food and hygiene poverty, or provide support for vulnerable families.

  • People with a long-term health condition or disability
Supporting people living with disabilities and long-term health conditions, including helping people manage at home independently.

Funding can contribute towards general running costs, volunteer costs, salaries and project costs.

New match funding partnership: The Philip and Connie Phillips Foundation has launched a new match funding partnership with long-term Kent funder, Colyer-Fergusson Charitable Trust. The match funding covers two of their four priority areas: supporting people who are elderly and isolated and supporting people with a long term health condition or disability. The Foundation’s application process has not changed, you still apply as normal, just be sure to opt-in on the application form to be considered for this opportunity – only if your project falls into the eligible priority areas.
