Featured Funders for The Great Big Green Week

In honour of The Great Big Green Week, 24 September – 2 October 2022, which calls on communities to take action on climate change and protecting nature, our featured funders this week are five grants for your environmental project:

The Linnean Society
Grant size: up to £1,000
Open to: individuals and organisations who are linked with a group of young people (under 16 years) within the UK. This includes, but is not limited to school staff, student groups, home education groups, community groups and small charities.

This grant scheme is purposefully broad and welcomes novel ideas designed to provide young people with an opportunity to take the lead on projects that involve their local nature and natural spaces, to aid young people in realising their influence, to have their voices heard, and see their ideas come to life. Some examples of possible proposals could be: running a school festival about nature; painting community murals showcasing biodiversity in the area; building a community garden; creating a nature walk; hiring a speaker to come and talk about local foraging.

Deadline: Tuesday 1 November 2022, midnight
